Beverley started dancing at the age of three and trained with Janet Ashton before going on to dance
professionally in 1986 and continue her training with the Greek National Ballet and Leonidas De
Pian in Athens, Greece.
Trained to advanced levels in classical ballet, modern, and tap, she performed extensively for 30
years as a dancer and choreographer in theatre, television, and the music industry in Athens,
London, Paris, and USA. Shows include three seasons with Vincent Shaw Associates 1989-92, Ciao
Antena live TV show with Garry Marden’s company 1993-94, Top of the Pops, MTV VMA’s
Cannes with N-Trance 1995, Kirrwiller France with director Michael Smith (Cirque de Soleil)
1996-97, Spirit of the Dance American tour 1998-99.
In 2000-04 Beverley headed the dance and drama department at North Lindsey College Scunthorpe
as Lecturer in Dance. She introduced BTEC National Diploma in Dance and GSCE Dance onto the
curriculum in post 16 Education Colleges and Secondary schools in Lincolnshire.
In 2004, dancing with the Spanish Ballet of Victor Muro, she took the role of principal and director
of Palma’s most prestigious ballet school — Acadamia de danza On Stage. Continuing her
performance career in shows such as Son Amar, and Jazztic with the Miranda Jazz band, she
directed and taught at the school for ten years and created dance productions for the Auditorium de
Palma.
Beverley was appointed Examiner for the Royal Academy of Dance London in 2017. In between
examining assignments she continues to teach in schools and colleges throughout UK and Europe.
She enjoys guiding dance students to achieve their full potential with a strong focus on safe dance
technique and the Royal Academy of Dance classical ballet syllabus.
Beverley is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance, holds registered teacher status with the
Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies, Diploma in Dance Instruction with the Imperial Society of
Teachers of Dance, and City and Guilds 7307 Further and Adult Education Teachers’ certificate.
